We organize an annual convention and coin show each year in the greater Portland area. It is held in the fourth quarter (usually November).

We are a non-profit corporation committed to numismatic education and the preservation and exploration of the history of coinage through centuries.

This will be the year’s largest coin show in the Pacific Northwest!

Public Hours
Saturday, November 15 from 10 AM to 6 PM
Sunday, November 16 from 10 AM to 4 PM

Admission is $5. Kids are free.

Massive free parking and a new spacious venue.

Early admission is $40: Friday starting 6 PM; Saturday starting at 8 AM; and Sunday starting at 9 AM. Yes, setup Friday is much later than previous years due to this new venue.

You Inherited a Coin Collection, Now What?

Advice and discussion on ways to approach dealing with an inherited collection – whether you seek education, collecting more, or selling the collection. Time for discussion and questions/answers. Useful class for collectors to help think about what happens after they pass as well.

Error Coins: We Love it When Things Go Wrong

Error coins have been fascinating collectors for years. Come learn how they are made and see examples of incredible and rare major mint errors in this fun and energetic presentation. Greg Bennick is a board member of both the error and variety club. CONECA (conecaonline.org) and the Token and Medal Society. He has been collecting major mint errors since the age of ten. A few free copies of the PNNA newletter featuring an article by this speaker will be offered to attendees.

Scouting Coin Collecting Merit Badge Workshop

Scouts review the Scouting Coin Collecting Merit Badge, and either earn it completely or are ready to finish it up soon.

Collecting Civil WarCurrency in Crisis

Collecting items from the Civil War is very interesting, and we will explore the crisis of currency that led to fascinating use of tokens, stamps, and paper money. We will dive deepest into the world of encased postage stamps.
A few free copies of the PNNA newletter featuring an article by this speaker will be offered to attendees.

The 1909 Alaskan-Yukon-Pacific Exposition

Twenty-three different So-Called Dollars were struck for the A.Y.P.E.  Learn to identify the different varieties, which ones are scarce and which ones are common. 
A FREE book will be given away to a lucky attendee.

US Variety Coin Collecting

We will explore the wide range of possibilities for collecting US variety coins. From half cents to 2 cents to half dimes to $2 1/2 Dollar to $20 varieties, the US has historically minted a vast quantity of coins for collectors to explore, collect, trade, and study.  This talk visually surveys a wide range of such coins, and suggests how there can be very many ways to collect them.

Collector Exhibits

The exhibit area in the front left (as you enter) area of the bourse (coin show room) will feature talks and workshops throughout the show time. collector exhibits that can be viewed during show times.

Exhibits are an important part of major shows – offering opportunity for collectors to share their collections and educate attendees.

Prospective exhibitors need to reserve space in advance by filling out an exhibit application and submit it the exhibit chair at least a week in advance.
